Appointments can be made by calling our office at 919.544.6461 or by filling out this form. While we appreciate scheduled appointments, we understand that illness or emergencies arise unexpectedly and will do our best to accomodate urgent patient visits. We try very hard to see all patients on time. If you cannot keep an appointment, notify us immediately and more than 24 hours in advance so that the time can be filled by another patient.

Appointments cancelled on the same day of the appointment and missed appointments are subject to a $25 Missed Appointment fee.

We do require appointments for prescription refills, acute illnesses or injuries and follow up visits for chronic conditions. We try to reserve space each day for acute illnesses that need to be taken care of that day, but we can not guarantee availability on the same day of your request. Appointments generally fill up prior to 10:00am, so try to call early for a better chance of being seen that day. Prescriptions can not be called in for acute conditions without an appointment or if you have never talked to the doctor about a specific issue in the past. Please make sure that the appointment is a minimum of one year after your last physical exam. Women must not be on their cycle at the time of their physical in order to receive a Pap Smear. We generally have you come in 2-3 days prior to your appointment to have your blood work done in order to receive the results back in time to review at your physical exam. If you do not wish to receive blood work prior to your physical, please notify the receptionist upon scheduling that you do not wish to have your blood drawn prior to your visit. We do labwork beginning at 8:30AM on MTuWF and beginning at 10:15am on Thursdays. You must come in to the office fasting, consuming only water for eight hours prior to your visit. There is a $10 charge for blood drawn in our office. If you do not wish to pay the $10 lab fee, we will be happy to write an order for you to get your blood drawn at an outside laboratory site and have them transfer the results to our office. Any payment received at Family Care by your insurance company for this lab fee will be credited to your account for future visits. Appointments can be made by calling our office at 919.544.6461.
