Family Care is just a few hundred yards away from a busy storm water drain underneath Carpenter Fletcher Rd that goes between two flood plain zones. Because of this, the City of Durham often closes the section of Carpenter Fletcher Rd between Highway 55 and our office’s driveway so they can perform repairs. When that happens, patients at Family Care must take an alternate route to their appointments.
Access will be closed from the Highway, so you will need to take a slight detour through Meridian Parkway to attend your appointment. Please allow about 3 extra minutes for your commute and contact our office if you have any questions or need help with directions. We apologize for the inconvenience!
You will have to go around two different orange roadblocks / barriers. The road is only fully closed beyond our driveway, so you still have permission to bypass these blockades on your way to the appointment.

- Turn right to stay on Meridian Pkwy – 0.3 mi

- Turn left into Family Care – 125 ft

Barrier is blocking right lane with “Local Traffic Only” sign. Family Care patients are “Local Traffic,” so you are allowed to go around this barricade!

Barrier is blocking right lane with “Road Closed” sign. Construction begins beyond Family Care’s driveway, so you are able to go around this barrier to get to Family Care’s parking lot!

The road is closed between Highway 55 and our office, so you’ll need to access the driveway from the North Bend side.
